Complaint Filed with Los Angeles
County for Its Violations of the
Americans with Disabilities Act

Spectrum Institute has filed a complaint with the County of Los Angeles because it is funding a legal services program that violates the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Attorneys appointed by the Los Angeles Superior Court, who are paid by the County of Los Angeles, have not been following the requirements of the ADA.  As a result, people with developmental disabilities have been and are being denied access to justice in limited conservatorship proceedings.
